just back from the monika had the most brilliant ever , keith& tess who run the bar along with young luke could nt do enough for you if you needed anything at all they would get it for you the bar food was spot on ,the pool was great ,the really late nite drinking was even better ,apts what do you expect you r in greece after all ,,,,,, ptoto and his wife who owned the complex were really nice people who were up for a good laugh ,,,,wes who ran the karoke was really good too ,,, can t fault the place will defo go back next year the mad scouser tommy & cal

just got back after staying for 2 weeks at the monika apts, i"ve been to greece about 20 times and these are probably the best apts i"ve stayed in, they were clean,the staff friendly, the cooked breakfast every day was spot on, the drinks cheap (2 euros for a large beer) only 2 minutes from the beach 10 minutes from the nitelife, i would go back to the monika no problem

We have just returned back from 2 weeks at the Mo

nika. What have you all been complaining about this is Greece afterall?????? The rooms are cleaned daily and sheets and towels changed every few days. The apartments are well equipped with a mini oven and fridge that doesn't make alot of noise. There was no air con so we hired a fan. Don't listen to reps speel about the excursions we used Travel Spot down the road and had no problems. Defo going back.

Just returned this morning from a 2 week holiday at Monika. Stayed on bed and breakfast basis and had a really good time. Rooms are very basic with air conditioning, fridge, fan at extra cost. Rooms clean and maid visits every day. Staff 10/10 Theo, Emily and Soule are excellent, real good fun and very helpful. I miss them all already. I saw mixed reviews prior to going and was a little wary before going, but worried needlessly cos everything was fine. It is important to remember with reviews that often for every bad review there are 100's of good reivews that people don't write. Often we only take time out to complain this is why I always write a review to give what i think is a realistic review and to help others choose the right holiday for them.

As often is the case avoid the reps trips though and book locally as they are alot cheaper. We heard real horror stories with regard to olympic trips regarding racking and stacking people and hygiene of food! Reps always collar you at the welcome meeting and say you need to book trips to be sure of a place but don't be fooled there are plenty of places and they want you to spend the money with them before seeing how expensive they are and before you get talking to others and find out how crap they are!

Food at Monika was great. Breakfast continental, boring after a while but you can upgrade to full english at small charge. Pool great, clean and plenty of free sun beds. We always went down to the pool around 9 or 10 and never strugged to find a bed. Pool BBQ Party with Karaoke is great fun and well recommeded.

Beach 2 mins away,

small and nothing much to write home about. However, we don't like beaches so this wasn't an issue for us anyway.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a basic accommodation, clean and excellent staff. Theo, Emily, Soule if you are reading this, this is for you "whatever!"

Hi There

Me and my hubby went to monika 18th june 2007,it was really hot and a nice place, basic, but clean.The pool area was lovely, and the food was quite cheap and quite nice.Hotel staff were ok, not the most friendly.The SC rooms did not have air con, the BB rooms did. Its a Really nice location, about a ten min walk from all the main shops/bars/clubs etc.

There is a nice beach down the road, and plenty of places to eat. Book all your trips with travel spot near the supermarket on the beach, its cheap and quality. Do NOT book with the rep!!!

There were lots of sweet dogs on the beach, all homeless, Ahhhhhh

We fed them up tho

Sidari was a fantastic place, i would revisit this place again.

Hello iv just come back from the Monika Comeplx in June 2007. I went with 4 of my girl friends. We had a fab time. The rooms are clean and basic. The pool is grate. The food at the bar isnt the best but ther is plenty of restrants walking distance. The staff are realy frendy and will do all they can to help. not all the rooms have air con we hade two self catering rooms but only one had air con. you can rent a fan from the hotel tho. iv just booked up to go back to sidary in september trying the Garnavos apts this time tho.

Hi Claire, i am staying at the Monika apartments on the 11th June for 2 weeks self catering. Have got this package holiday on my own and will be meeting my friend at the airport as i am working in Sidari for the summer so this 2 week holiday will be for me to gte on my feet with job and accomodation for the summer. You will have a great holiday, how old are the two of you? No doubt i will see you there then at the apartments. xlisax

hi! me n my boyfriend stayed in the bed n breakfast part of the monika complex in july 2006. we had air conditioning but found out that the self catering didn't. dont know if that had been installed for this year though. we're going back again but for two weeks this time in july. best time ever!! it was nice n quiet at night but was just a stroll from the good beaches and nightlife! have fun anyone going, we definitely did!

Does anyone know if the monika apartments are located near to the canal as it looks like they are in the Olympic brochure. We are looking to go there in august next summer. Any recommendations or comments please?

hey, i stayed at the monika hotel in sidari from jul10 to jul24 06 it was great, the hotel was nice the sfaff so was the staff , the room was clean and the food was good, i had a great time.
