Stayed at mayflower from 16th sept-1st oct 2009 What a lovely place to stay, when we first arived we thought as many did that it was in the middle of knowhere. which it is'nt, the rooms are cleaned every day and are spotless, the owners were lovely and really helpful.
the food is good and the pool is brilliant this place should have been awarded a 4 star. when we were on the coach to come home people from the otherside of the island were asking us what the mayflower was like cos they heard how good it is and trust me it was fantastic
the good points were everything and their was no bad points at all
you can also exchange your british money their and change your travelers cheques
anyone want any more info email me at

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Maylfower hotel, Tingaki, kos. This was our second holiday at the mayflower and on our arrival we were given a really warm welcome by christos and his family. All of the staff and the family go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, nothing is ever to much trouble. The swimming pool is excellent it is cleaned daily and always looks spotless. The rooms are clean and well maintained and i would highly recommend you use the air con as the rooms can get quite hot, during the night. We returned home yesterday and have already checked out availability for next year.
Christos provided us as promised a copy of the music from the Greek night which we have listened to already should be relatively proficient by next year.
Also looking forward to taking up the offer of going walking with Christos up mount Dikeos.
Thank you all for a lovely time.

Just returned from a great 2 weeks
Well run family business - very friendly and try hard to please.
Jen's meals v nice
Beds a little on the hard side - recommend many gin lemons/Mythos to ease any discomfort.
Only got gently ticked off twice by Elia who is a lovely lady ; once for putting a bottle in the waste bin - yes you guessed it - they have fallen for the recyling trick in Kos as well. The other time was when we put our towels down on the bathroom floor every day to be changed - apparently only supposed to do this every 2 or 3 days - if only they said!
Watch out for :
Christos - a classic. However he lives in a different time span which is at any time is either 2 seconds ahead of us or about 10 seconds behind. If you have any spare moments study this aspect - it is not entirely obvious - the best situation to pick it up is during the traditional greeting process.
Ah and just one more thing - he will give you his shots of booze (gratis - nice gesture) at any time without warning. I always said yes (of course) but on one occasion he cleared the table so quick he made me try and catch the glasses - which I didn't - whoops!
Weather fantastic which helped of course!

I am going to the mayflower on 5th july, last year we stayed in these apartments and they are fantastic, i was just wanting to know if the Mediteranean restaurant is now open because last year there was some kind of accident and it closed down, i was told it was one of the best restaurants in tngaki?. If anyone wanted to visit Tingaki the Mayflower is the place to stay, why these have only been given a 3* + rating is beyond me, roll on saturday. | |
