Myself my husband and 2, 15 year olds have just stayed at Capains complex at the commodore,we had a room for 4 which was big enough basic and everything we needed. The bathroom was ok but the shower cubicle was so tiny you could not move your arms without movingthe curtain and flooding the bathroom.

just spent a week at the hotel, which i have done on previous years due to the quality of the hotel and never having a bad thing to say about it and its staff! But unfortunatly this year i have nothing good to say apart from the view from main reception. we had six people and we had booked 2 rooms for 3 people. we were given the two rooms but one room with a double and a single and one with 4 beds cramed into the one, we went down to reception to try and sort it out but the person on the reception said he didnt understand english and to come back later. we saw our rep who was a great help and she reported we had a problem it took two days for the to bring us another bed which they left in the hall by our room and expected us to take it in and remove the double bed. our rooms were also never cleaned apart from the first day we had to get our own clean towels and sheets!
and the smell comming into the room from the kitchen which was right next to it stunk like swege ! cannot believe how down hill this place had gone since last time we visited

Well we stayed in the captains for 2 weeks. In these 2 weeks, our room got cleaned a grand total of 3 times. Clean towels twice. We also had stuff stolen from our room, even tho we locked the door. The staff here are some of the most ignorant and unhelpfull people we met on the island. When buses or trucks or cars drive up the hill, the balcony doors rattle that much it wakes you up. The air conditioning didnt work, complained 5 times and got nowhere. No kettle, again complained and nothing. We spent most of our time down at the hotel Contessa. Much better hotel, entertainment was fantastic here. Much better location. So thats where we are staying when we go back in september.

me and my friend stayed at the captains, and we really liked it. there is a massive hill to the main entrance, but we found a short-cut where you can go up some steps through the pool and past the commodor ... this was better we thought, coz it cut off the hill. the food was ok ... salad was lush, but the mains were a bit random ... one night it was chips, potatoes, pasta and rice .... with some meat thing ... but not a huge range to be honest!! the people were so nice ... we evertually broke the head receptionist in to a bit of a smile which is always a good thing!!Adi is the best ... we miss him so much!! he really looked out for us ... so if ur a group of girls or woteva .. he's like your big brother who'll make sure your ok! Amy is an absloute legend ... shes so cool ... and a right laugh!! all the staff are fun, and make u feel really comfortable. we had to pay 5 euros a day for air conditioning...thats the only annoying thing .... but worth it, coz it was sooooo hot!! there wasnt a huge amount of things to do ... there were a few bars and that ... but only a few that we thought were decent, we ended up going to the same bar every night ... we're not really in to clubbing and whatever, and i think this resort suited that ... there were loads of couples around ... i think its an ideal resort for couples ... but brilliant hotel!! x
