Yet another wonderful holiday at Daphne Apartments - they cant get any better for me - welcomed like an old friend and made so much at ease by Takis Yorgos Tony and [not so] Young George - met up with May regulars and had a wonderful time - happy to answer any questions on this venue and can assure you I'm not on their payroll! What a find! New business this year [2007] and next door to where I was staying - but well worth going out of your way for the wonderful crepes - sweet and savoury - prepared by Chris. You will be made very welcome. The prices are very reasonable and the bar itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. | |

Hayley,
These apartments are in a great central location for all the restaurants and bars in Tsilivi and about a ten minute walk to the nearest beach.
From Popeye's restaurant, walk inland, out of town, and you will find them two minutes walk past Macdonalds [forgive me God for mentioning them!] on the left-hand side just after Contadina's bar.
Owned by a great family and with terrific staff, I'm sure you will have a fantastic holiday.

On my fourth holiday in Tsilivi and still loved this place. Regards to Kyriakos and Dennis and all staff.

| Hi Lindsay Big Know-All here! We hired bikes last year and enjoyed it greatly. The hire shop we used was halfway into town from Calliniga, on the right-hand side past Manos Grill. Would avoid Sat and Sun for cycling though as there are too many large coaches about on those days. Sorry , I know nothing about snorkelling. Maureen | ||||||||||

| The four Calliniga apartments are reasonably closely grouped around the pool which serves them. They are sited on a hill about 5 mins walk from the edge of tsilivi town - planos end. We stayed there in May 2004 and would describe them as basic but perfectly okay. The people who run them are extremely keen to make your holiday happy. Any problems you may have, speak to Cheryl for a prompt resolution. There was a safety deposit box within the wardrobe in our room with key supplied on payment of a nominal charge. We had no complaints about the standard of cleanliness but then we don't make a big mess! Some people do not seem to realise what "self-catering" means to judge by the comments on this site. They also fail to read the brochures which all point out that the plumbing on the Greek Islands requires that toilet tissue etc. is not flushed away but retained in a basket for disposal.[I always take baby nappy-disposal bags for use on holiday: these can be perfumed and are very cheap.] There is no reason Lindsay why you cannot have a good holiday. It is up to you - the ingredients are all there | ||||||||||

| May I say a belated thank you to all those in the Daphne Studios {guests and staff} who helped my daughter and I when I came off my bike just outside these apartments earlier this summer. They were so kind and helpful. I was not badly hurt - just scratched scraped and shaken - and quickly got back to what passes for normal. I was so impressed with the location, etc. that I am trying to book to stay there next May. | ||||||||||

| This is a wonderful bar by day and at night. The cocktails are the best in Tsilivi and the staff are wonderful - special mentions for Kyriakos, Elca, and wonderful Leo - hope to see you all again soon. | |||||||||||||

| My flawless holiday is Tsilivi has been soured by the discovery this morning [when my credit card statement was received] that two transactions with Mamfredas for 150 and 30 euros respectively, have been entered as 180 and 80. My own fault entirely, as I felt the man who said he believed in trusting people [when he refused my offer of identification documents] should not be embarrassed by a request for the top copies of the slips which he had obviously merely 'forgotten'. Be very wary!!! | |||||||

| How can I book for this wonderful place next year? Although Dinos is in the Libra brochure [first edition], they do not seem to be accepting bookings for this venue and very few operators have Glasgow/Zakynthos flights. If anyone reads this who knows Dinos or Anna, please ask them to e-mail me with information. | |

| We booked the island coach tour with Manfredas on Tsilivi main street [run by a lovely Greek man with perfect English] and found it informative, enjoyable, and good value. [The schedule was well planned and one was not left for a long time in a spot which merited only 10 minutes scrutiny.] Our guide was Constantina - a Chelsea Clinton lookalike - who was interesting and humorous. Only criticism was the restricted lunch menu but think this may have been dictated by the time available for the stop. A tour well worth doing especially for a first-time visitor to Zakynthos. | ||||||||||

| We noted a 10/10 rating prior to our holiday and found it was very accurate. Now you are rating this wonderful restaurant as 8/10. Cannot understand why - it certainly deserved the first one. And never mind 10/10, Tass deserves a rating way off the scale - lovely guy - hope he finishes his army stint in time to be back next year! | ||||||||||

| My daughter and I ate here during June and found it to be very good value with resonably quick, very pleasant service. The new 'man on the door'[Asif]was much more than pleasant - he is extremely charming and has a wonderful command of several languages. | ||||||||||
